You can totally tell I am so excited about this blog, right? Also, you can tell I have not been to work or school and instead have been on this blog far too much! Well, I am going back to work on Monday :(
So here is another question: How do you add pictures to your headers< I love to add stuff, feel my blog is so blah...
I am a pound down from yesterday but still am not happy with my weight loss post op. i expected to lose at least 5 pounds this week, I have only lost 2.2 pounds. I read other's journey and they lost a lot more, it scares me now!
Here are some pics of my fat belly after the operation, I know it is not pretty! I can't believe how bloated my abdomen is.
As usual, allergic to any sort of gauze or bandage( the red area around my big incision) |
You really can't compare your journey with anyone else. Circumstances and bodies are too different for them all to be the same. Be excited that you lost 2.2 lbs!! YAY!
ReplyDeleteI know but I am worried once I move to mushies and soft and solid food, i will be gaining, I am getting 600 cal at max daily and this is the result.. I am just hoping when I go back to work and later start working out, this will change,
Deletethanks for your kind words, XOXO
Please, please, please don't compare yourself to others...it will drive you completely cray cray. I did that in the beginning and it did nothing but frustrate me and make me depressed. Your body is healing, you still have swelling, and you should feel good about that 2.2 loss.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the picture question I can't help ya out there. I got Jen at http://www.justfoolinblogdesigns.com/ to do my blog design...she is fabulous!
I try and I know I shouldn't but it is really hard..I will check that link, thank you so much
DeleteYou're going to do fine...stay positive!
ReplyDeleteThanks, sure :)
Deleteyou are doing just fine on the weight loss end! Everyone is different because everyone has different amounts to lose. Now I CAN tell you that my dr., nutritionist, and trainer told me not to go less than 900 calories or you put your body into starvation mode and it hangs on to everything. Same as not getting enough protein, then you lose muscle not fat. Its quite the science and I have FAR from figured it out! I just try not to go over my calories and keep my protein at least 65g.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the pictures go, I just played with my layout. At the top there is the design word, I clicked on that and then went to layout and started playing! Good luck, I can't get a ticker on to save my life!
I am starting my puree phase and I can get more calorie in, I need to start walking more than just the walks in the house..
Deletethanks for your kind words..
Don't go there on comparing because you will always be let down. Someone always seems to do better. What you are doing is working and that is what counts...you will never see those 2.2 lbs again!
ReplyDeleteHow are things going for you, now that you are about 15 months out? I can totally relate to your frustration! I have had a major struggle with my weightloss after getting the band. I felt very discouraged and like a failure as I watched others that got the band having such success. I have recently found a shake (which I swore I would never do those meal replacement shakes) but it has been working!!! I have lost 18 lbs in 25 days. I was a total skeptic, but I was willing to try because I felt like I had tried everything. I don't feel hungry (something I thought I would get from the band - but I mostly just got stuck when I ate certain foods) and I feel like I have more energy than I have had in years!!!
